Competition Details
Background
The NCA conducts design competitions for projects of national significance. Such projects require a high degree of design exploration, innovation and skill.
The Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Design Competition is a two-stage competition which is intended to lead to the engagement of a winning designer to work with the Competition Organiser and the APMP Committee in the detailed design and construction of the Memorial.
The competition is open to:
- design professionals who are registered or accredited by a formal registration or accreditation body in the entrants country of origin or, where registration is not available in a particular jurisdiction, the entrant is a member of the relevant professional institute in their country of origin; and
- artists and members of the public who align themselves with practising professionals who meet the above criteria in fields relevant to the preparation and submission of their memorial design proposal.
All entrants are required to provide evidence of relevant professional registration, accreditation or membership on the declaration form.
The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Design Competition Conditions. Acceptance of these conditions and procedures is a condition of entry.

This competition is endorsed by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA); the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA); and the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).
