31/01/2008 - Short-Listed entrants chosen to advance to Stage Two of the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Design Competition

Entrants short-listed for Stage Two of the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Design Competition were notified today.

The Competition Jury selected four entrants to further develop their proposals for assessment in March 2008.

The Chairman of the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project Committee and Jury, Major General Tim Ford AO (Retd) commented that "The Jury found merit in four short listed entries. Each presented a clear, strong core design concept and theme, and demonstrated potential to address the many dimensions of the design brief".

However, he also stated that, "all four entries will need to further develop their proposals in Stage Two in order to demonstrate to the Jury that their proposal could become the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial".

Each Stage Two entrant will be required to provide four (4) A1 presentation boards, a 1:50 scale model and a detailed written report.

The Jury is scheduled to reconvene in March 2008 to consider the four short-listed entries and to select a winner of the Memorial Design Competition.

25/10/2007 - Entries closed Thursday 25 October 2007.

16/10/2007 - the official question time of the competition has closed and any urgent further correspondence can be addressed to the Competition Registrar at peacekeeping@natcap.gov.au.
